L4 Open Water Sea Kayak Instructor certification is offered for Candidates who have completed a L4 Instructor Development Workshop. Offered by Todd Wright (ACA L5 ITE, BCU L5 Coach Sea, BC L4 Coaching Diploma, and Director of Adventure Sports at St. Michael's College in Vermont) in collaboration with Nate Hanson and Pinniped Kayak.

To allow candidates to offer authentic instruction during assessment, we will arrange to have ~L3 skills paddlers as practice students for you, as we have found that this method of assessment is more comfortable and realistic for candidates (as compared to assessments where L4 candidates pretend to teach other L4 candidates).

This ICE may be used as an Update for existing L4 instructors, at half price. Update candidates must attend at least 2 days, and are encouraged to attend all four days (at the two-day price).
