This fall Nate heads back to New York City - a collaboration with The Kayak Foundation and instructors Todd Seidman and Matt Frey. We’ll offer a day of dynamic skills development (and available ACA Skills Assessment) near NYC. We’ll head out to a coastal venue just outside the city - perhaps Democrat Point on Long Island - to refine skills in surf and more exposed waters.
During the weekend, Nate will provide individual attention to assess targets for improvement, and help students improve efficiency, effectiveness and understanding. Our goal is to take the strokes and maneuvers that students have previously learned, and apply them more effectively in conditions that are more challenging to each paddler. We’ll put an emphasis on practical tools for students to self-evaluate and continue improving their techniques beyond this day of coaching.
This course is appropriate for paddlers who have had some previous instruction, and are looking to improve their skills in more exposed water. (Paddlers with emerging ACA L3 skills through strong L4 paddlers would be appropriate for this course.
